Cluff Lake

Cluff Lake Mill Demolition at Cluff Lake, Saskatchewan

In July of 2004, Denison Environmental Services (DES) and our joint venture partner, Northern Venture Group (a business development cooperative of communities from Northwestern Saskatchewan), were awarded the contract to perform the demolition of the Cluff Lake Mill complex. This was the first high grade uranium mine to be decommissioned in Canada.

The distinctive Cluff profile has been reduced to a few small cold storage buildings. The site will continue to be monitored for compliance by the owner.
